THE RENEW and RECONNECT RETREAT Anxiety and Depression Recovery Reconnect with yourself, the present, and with your values to find peace of mind.  30th January-1st February 2026  Peace of mind comes from belief that change is possibleWe provide you with the clarity of how to move forward to become happier again.   

Drawing on skills from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Radical Acceptance and her book "The REBEL Method" Vanessa will take you on a journey to move out of your mind and into your heart.   Supported by Yoga Therapist and Trauma Informed Coach Susan Lynch, they will nurture and support you with powerful and evidence based techniques to release old and negative thinking patterns, heal stress within your body and connect with your true values, who you are and who you are meant to be.   By the end of the retreat you will have gained key skills in managing negative thinking and will have the hope and support once again for a better future.     

  What will you experience at our retreat?   

 
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Positive Psychology 
 
On the first day of the retreat, we introduce essential, evidence-based tools to support recovery from anxiety and depression. Through a powerful blend of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, mindset work, and Radical Acceptance (from DBT and ACT), you will learn to: 
 
Understand and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns 
Build resilience through gratitude, strengths, and positive focus 
Develop a growth mindset to navigate setbacks with self-compassion 
Practice accepting difficult emotions without being overwhelmed 
Day One will equip you with practical strategies to manage your mind, cultivate emotional balance, and begin moving toward a more meaningful, empowered life.

Yoga For Emotional Wellbeing, Anxiety and Depression 
 
Our yoga teachers bring not only professional expertise but also personal experience with anxiety and depression, making them deeply attuned to your emotional and physical needs. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to support mental health and is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Our yoga sessions are not about pushing the body—they are about nurturing it. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and deep relaxation, yoga can help you reconnect with your body, build self-esteem and confidence, and gently support mood regulation. 
 
You’ll leave each session feeling rested, centred, and more at ease—carrying that sense of wellbeing with you beyond the retreat. 
 
 
Exploring Values, Self-Care, Self-Compassion & Life Purpose 
 
As part of your retreat journey, we’ll take time to gently explore what truly matters to you. Understanding your core values—the things that give your life meaning and direction—can be a powerful guide through recovery and beyond. 
 
When we reconnect with our values, we can start to make choices that feel aligned and authentic, even in the midst of challenges. 
 
In these sessions, you will: 
Clarify what’s most important to you. 
Explore what self-care looks like for you—not just routines, but meaningful ways of tending to your emotional, physical, and mental well-being 
Develop self-compassion practices that help you soften harsh inner criticism and respond to yourself with kindness 
Reflect on your sense of life purpose—what gives you a feeling of contribution, connection, or fulfillment 
By anchoring into your values and practicing self-care from a place of self-compassion (rather than obligation), you can begin to create a life that feels purposeful, sustainable, and deeply yours. 
 
 
The Power of Connection 
 
One of the most transformative parts of this retreat is the opportunity to connect with like-minded people who truly understand. Anxiety and depression can often feel isolating, but when we come together in a supportive space, we realise we are not alone. 
 
By sharing your story and listening to others, you can begin to release the weight of isolation and the false belief that you have to face this on your own. Together, we create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted—just as you are. 
You’ll be reminded that this is not your fault, and that healing is possible when we lean into community. 
 
Safe, Supportive Group Sessions 
Our group sessions are gently facilitated by Vanessa Wallace and her experienced psychotherapeutic team, who bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine ‘family feel’ to the retreat. This creates a safe, nurturing environment where you can be open about your feelings, negative thoughts, and personal experiences without fear of judgment. 
 
When you’re with us, you don’t have to wear a mask. 
You can simply be yourself—and that is more than enough. 
 
 
 
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) 
 
During the retreat, you’ll be introduced to Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as "tapping" — a simple yet powerful practice that helps reduce anxiety, release emotional blocks, and bring calm to the body and mind. 
 
EFT combines gentle tapping on specific acupressure points with mindful attention to difficult thoughts, feelings, or memories. This process helps to regulate the nervous system, ease emotional intensity, and create space for new, more empowering perspectives. 
 
Through EFT, you will: 
Learn a practical, self-soothing technique you can use anytime 
Reduce the emotional charge around stress, anxiety, and limiting beliefs 
Begin to gently shift emotional patterns that may feel stuck 
Support your body’s natural ability to find calm and balance 
EFT is a versatile, accessible tool that you can carry with you beyond the retreat, offering immediate support in moments of overwhelm or emotional discomfort. 
 
Personalised One to one Counselling/Psychotherapy or CBT sessions 
 
As part of your retreat experience, we offer individual one-to-one sessions with our highly skilled team of psychotherapists and counsellors. Each therapist is qualified and experienced in counselling, CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches, providing you with personalised, expert support. 
 
Tailored Support for Your Recovery 
In your one-to-one sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to: 
 
Develop a personalised recovery plan with your allocated therapist 
Receive focused guidance to help you integrate the skills and practices from the retreat into your everyday life 
Access continued support after the retreat, if you choose to continue your sessions 
Ongoing Support Options 
Pre-Retreat Sessions: Available on request to help you prepare, feel supported, and set clear intentions before the retreat begins. 
Post-Retreat Sessions: We offer continued one-to-one support for up to three months after your retreat, either in person, via Zoom, or by telephone—whatever works best for you. 
Follow-Up with Vanessa 
Vanessa personally provides two follow-up one-to-one sessions after the retreat to help you stay accountable, reflect on your progress, and fine-tune the skills you’ve learned. These sessions offer a valuable space to ensure you feel supported as you continue your recovery journey at home. 
 
Our one-to-one sessions are a compassionate, flexible way to help you feel truly held—before, during, and after your retreat. 
 
Deep Tissue Massage 
 
Our Deep Tissue Massages are the perfect way to help you fully relax and settle into your retreat experience. This is pure, indulgent time just for you—a chance to pause, breathe, and let your body be cared for.
